Fernando Torres Rejects Chelsea. Why?

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has confirmed that the club have rejected a £25.6M (€39M) offer for Fernando Torres from a Premiership club, widely thought to be either Manchester United or Chelsea.
"A Premiership club have offered us £25 million but we have decided to keep him, because for the club he is a strategic player. "I firmly believe that he is not going to leave, although in England would play a great role", stated Cerezo.

I wonder why he rejected Chelsea. He claims he had the "easy option to go to Chelsea". He told a Spanish radio: "There are many people who want me to go. I would have made much money if I left and it pains me that they say I have stayed here to be in a comfort-zone.

I just feel terrible for him. The team is doing so badly (Athletico Madrid) and he is their captain. And he is only 22. Isn't that a big responsibility for such a young person?

But I do admire him. Not many people would like to remain in that sort of a situation. And not many would reject Chelsea.

Teenage Crushes and girls playing football

This post deals with my obsession with him. I have loved him for years. The amount of money I spend on just buying tickets for the Man Utd matches is alarming.

My friend think I need help. Maybe I do. Or maybe it is just a teeange celeb crush and I am no stranger to that. My future posts could deal with them. But no I don't support Man Utd because of him. I have been supporting them since 2002 and thats a year before he joined.

Wouldn't you say very? Bet you would. I am home from school right now because I am ill. I thought this would be a good pastime. It looks like it is going to be. I am on MSN with my friends right now, but they basically are being a bore. Or maybe its me.

Right, I don't think I am really talking about him much. It could very well be because a certain Spanish footballer seems to have caught my eye and his name happens to be Fernando Torres.

Ok, I am no fool when it comes to football. Quiz me on the premiership, the la liga, or the bundesliga and more and I can answer your questions. I did notice Fernando ages ago but was madly in love with a fellow Portuguese (did I mention I am half Portuguese?)

But this Spanish hottie is making me think about Cristiano again. Never thought this day would come.

It seems to me that girls when they show knowledge about football are laughed at. It so unfair. Why do boys think its a man's sport? Oh well gender roles are merging if not inter-changing, so I do have some luck hopefully in the future. I mean there is a woman's football world cup but no one sees those matches. And all what boys do when they see those matches is stare at the players' boobs.
